Creating an inviting, kid-friendly and calming space was essential at Rush University Medical Center’s new North Riverside Children’s Hospital clinic. Equally important were meeting the health, safety and security standards of one of Chicago’s top-rated medical organizations. Chicago Design Network worked with Rush personnel to strategically design the clinic to address the barriers which challenge many Latino families.
This off-campus Rush University Children’s Hospital is the first of it’s kind in Northern Illinois. The clinic offers citizens throughout the Chicago area personalized care and easier access to Rush medical professionals. The clinic focuses on “the chronic medical conditions that disproportionately affect Latino children, including asthma and childhood obesity,” according to Rush.
